We are returning to Niños Creadores de Historia School for a week of service, connection, and cultural immersion. Experience firsthand the work you help make possible.

We partner with families and teachers in San Andrés Itzapa, Guatemala, to support at-risk first and second graders during the most critical years of early learning.
Through academic support, access to books, and daily nutrition, we help children build strong educational foundations — giving them a better chance to stay in school and succeed long-term.

We place age-appropriate Spanish-language books directly into the hands of children and local public schools.
Access to books builds literacy, confidence, and a lifelong love of reading — especially in communities where books are often scarce.

Our small-group after-school program helps struggling first and second graders strengthen reading and math skills early — before learning gaps widen.
When children succeed in the early grades, they are far more likely to remain in school and continue their education.

The school provides up to 50 simple, nutritious lunches each day at no cost to students.
For many children, this meal is their most reliable source of daily nutrition — helping them focus, learn, and grow.
Our mission is to provide early academic support, educational resources, and daily nutrition to at-risk young students in San Andrés Itzapa, Guatemala — helping them remain in school and build a strong foundation for life.
Why Early Education Matters
The earliest school years shape a child’s entire academic future. When children fall behind in first or second grade, catching up becomes increasingly difficult.
By focusing on literacy, foundational skills, and daily nutrition at the beginning of a child’s education, we help prevent learning gaps that often lead to school dropout later on. Sustainable change only happens when those most affected help design the solution. Before launching any program, we convene listening circles, translate materials into local languages, and invite community leaders, youth advocates, and elders to co-create project goals.
